Flag Football Player of the Week: Southeast Bulloch’s Jaci Kitchings

Jaci Kitchings, a senior up back and cornerback at Southeast Bulloch, is GHSF Daily’s Flag Football Player of the Week. Kitchings scored all five touchdowns in the Yellow Jackets’ opening victories over South Effingham and McDonough that extended Southeast Bulloch’s winning streak to 64 games. Kitchings had four rushing touchdowns and a 40-yard interception return for a touchdown in the 14-6 and 20-0 wins. She rushed for 127 yards, passed for 49 yards, threw for three extra points and had four flag pulls. Kitchings has been a member of all three of Southeast Bulloch’s state championship teams and was a starter last year, earning all-area and all-star recognition. Kitchings is a member of the National Honors Society and Beta Club and maintains a 4.0 GPA. “This year, Kitchings is taking over a leadership role on our team,” Southeast Bulloch coach Marci Cochran said. “She is asked to lead our offense and has started the season off just as I expected her to. She leads by example and is not afraid to play through contact to get the job done. I am excited to watch her lead our team and grow this season.”

GHSF Daily, in partnership with Score Atlanta, will recognize a Flag Football Player of the Week each Monday through the December state finals. Winners will be presented with an award at their school and be featured on the “Georgia High School Sports Daily” TV show on the Peachtree Sports Network. Nominations can be sent by Sunday each week by clicking here.
