Week 1 Student-Athlete of the Week: Pace Academy’s Gavin Jeffries

Gavin Jeffries, a 6-foot-4, 250-pound senior offensive and defensive lineman at Pace Academy, is the scoutSMART Student-Athlete of the Week. Jeffries is a football team captain and has a 97 GPA. He also plays basketball and is a volunteer at Agape Children's House, Meals on Wheels Atlanta, YMCA and Abrehot Library. Jeffries has an offer from Stetson University for football. “From the moment he arrived, Gavin has always been an outstanding student-athlete here at Pace Academy,” head coach Nick Bach said. “Over his first three years in high school, he earned varsity letters in both basketball and football. He's a state champion in basketball and a senior captain of the football team. Carrying a 97 GPA and starting on both the offensive line and defensive line, Gavin has emerged now as a true college football prospect. Gavin earned all-region honors his junior year on the defensive line and currently holds an offer from Stetson University while keeping his recruitment open. A peer leader and advocate in and out of the school, Gavin has worked very hard to earn everything that he's received thus far in his career.”
