Week 8 Student-Athlete of the Week: Christian Johnson, Pace Academy

Christian Johnson, a 6-foot-2, 203-pound senior running back/linebacker at Pace Academy, is the scoutSMART Student-Athlete of the Week. In a recent 26-7 win over Hampton, he had nine tackles, two tackles for losses and a sack. Johnson has a 93.6 GPA, acts as a committee member for the Peer Leadership Academy at Pace, works as a peer tutor to assist other Pace students academically and is part of a mentorship program for students at Pace Middle School. He has Division I football offers from Army, Indiana, Memphis, Cincinnati and South Florida, among others. “Christian Johnson has been a standout leader in our Pace community for many years now,” head coach Nick Bach said. “He's always finding ways to help others, whether it be through tutoring, helping students with rides, mentoring our middle school students, or peer leader groups – he's constantly searching for ways to help and lead. An outstanding athlete and even better human, we're super grateful to have Christian with us here at Pace.”
