Improvement Tracker: 9 winning coaches to be honored at GACA Falcons Luncheon

GHSF Daily’s Improvement Tracker standings are final, and the nine winners will be presented with awards Jan. 31 at the GACA Falcons Luncheon in Macon. The Improvement Tracker, sponsored by Hudl, has been a weekly GHSF Daily feature since August. It ranked the top five teams and their head coaches in each classification based on their improvement in the computer Maxwell Ratings, but with some exclusions. Only teams with winning records qualified. Each team and coach must have made the playoffs and improved playoff seeding or state playoff finish from the previous year. The objective was to recognize not only the challenge of improving a team but also making it relevant on the state level. Congratulations to the nine winners – Joey King of Carrollton, Justin Rogers of Thomas County Central, Andrew Oropeza of Northside of Columbus, Jaybo Shaw of Wayne County, Heath Webb of Lumpkin County, Joe Kegler of Spencer, Frank Barden of St. Francis, Keldrick Burke of Wilkinson County and Jacob Lord of Robert Toombs Academy.
