Awards ceremony for football, flag football coming in December

A celebration of the 2024 Georgia high school football and flag football seasons will take place in December as Score Atlanta will unveil awards, including a Mr. Georgia for football and a Miss Georgia for flag football, both honors based on regular-season performance.

The event will take place on Sunday, Dec. 8, at the new Teamsters Local 728 event hall in south Atlanta, which can hold 1,000 attendees.

All-State teams in each of the eight classifications in football and the four classifications in flag will be announced. There will also be an all-classification team for both sports as well as a coach of the year for each classification. The event will name an assistant coach of the year for 64 regions in football and 32 areas in flag, among other awards.

Ticket information for the event will be released in early November.
