Big-time game atmosphere with Show-Light® technology

When Passaic Tech advanced to the New Jersey Group 5 finals at Rutgers University in fall 2022, the Bulldogs’ athletics staff was impressed by the light show technology at Rutgers.

A year later, the Bulldogs were playing home games under the same lighting system – complete with Musco’s Show-Light® entertainment technology and a dozen custom light shows synchronized to music.

Recent innovations have put color-changing fixtures and special effects within reach of more schools. As a result, more athletic programs are discovering how entertainment features can enhance the player and fan experience.

“The first time we set the light shows off, our entire student section went nuts,” remembers Jeff Barnes, athletic director of Hammond School in Columbia, S.C.

This technology can even help unite communities. When a tornado swept through Wynne, Ark., the town rallied to rebuild their stadium in time for football season. Sylas M., a student-athlete for the Wynne Yellowjackets, said: “Coming out, seeing the lights, scoring a touchdown under the lights … It’s probably my favorite memory.”
