What are the signs of a concussion?
Coaches and parents play a key role in concussion awareness. Learning the signs and symptoms of a concussion can equip you to act when head injuries happen.
Signs coaches and parents may observe:
Appearing dazed or confused
Exhibiting forgetfulness
Moving clumsily
Answering questions slowly
Showing behavior or personality changes
Symptoms athletes may report:
Headache
Nausea
Dizziness
Blurry vision
Fogginess
Fatigue
Concentration problems
If you notice any of these symptoms, remove them from practice and contact the athlete’s doctor.
