Georgia Elite Classic picks coaches for 10th anniversary games

The biggest high school football All-Star Games in the South will take place in Rome on Thursday, Dec. 29, when four games are played at historic Barron Stadium. The eighth-grade game will kick everything off at 10 a.m. and the two head coaches are Charlton County athletic director and longtime coach Dusty Phillips and Jackson defensive coordinator Joe Stokowski. Following at 12:45 p.m. will be the senior game between teams from Georgia and Alabama. The Georgia team will be led by Corey Jarvis, the head coach at Lithia Springs, while the Alabama side will be coached by Huntsville High head coach and former Peachtree Ridge coach Mark Fleetwood. The juniors will face off at 3:30, and Brent Osbourne, running backs coach and recruiting coordinator at Southeast Bulloch, will coach one team with the other head coach will be named later. The finale at 6:15 will feature Jeremy Avery, the special teams coach and recruiting coordinator at Warner Robins, taking the freshmen against Evans High School head coach Barrett Davis and the sophomores. All games will be broadcasted live on Peachtree TV and digitally on the Atlanta First News (formerly CBS46) app and the National Federation High School Network.
