Week 10 Student-Athlete of the Week: Tyler Denny, Prince Avenue Christian

Tyler Denny, a 5-foot-11, 190-pound senior kicker and punter at Prince Avenue Christian, is the scoutSMART Student-Athlete of the Week. Denny, who has a 3.9 GPA, has contributed 60 kicking points (51-of-52 on extra points, 3-for-3 on field goals) with a punting average of 36.9 yards and a long of 51 yards. He is a member of National Beta Club and National Honor Society, which requires community service throughout the school year. He participates in the Athens Church small group. “Tyler is a wonderful young man,” head coach Greg Vandagriff said. “He handles all of our kicking duties at Prince and does a fantastic job. Earlier in the season, he made a 47-yard field goal, breaking the old record. The fact that he is the Scholar Athlete of the week is just a credit to how hard he works, not only on the field but in the classroom as well.”
