Week 12 Offensive Line of the Week: Westover

GHSF Daily’s Offensive Line of the Week is Westover’s unit of left tackle Vincent Tumblin, left guard Torian Chester, center Emory Clark, right guard Tanner Turner and right tackle Kyson Mallard with Corey Gardner and Jshawn Jinks assisting on heavy sets.

They paved the way for Dominique Ball’s 302-yard rushing game in a 29-10 victory over eighth-ranked Cairo in a Class 3A game. Chester is committed to Pitt, and Mallard is a top-100 national sophomore prospect, according to 247Sports. The offensive line coaches are Cleatus Hopkins, Chad Pope and Raymond Thomas.

Westover’s victory Friday was the program’s first against the Syrupmakers since 2013, breaking a 10-game losing streak in the series. Westover’s 9-1 record under first-year coach Corey Joyner represents the best regular-season performance in school history.

The award is sponsored by Alfa Insurance.

Westover’s offensive linemen are joined by head coach Corey Joyner, principal William Chunn, and Mike Trull and Ryan Carr from Alfa Insurance for the presentation of GHSF Daily’s Offensive Line of the Week after their 29-10 victory over Cairo.
