Week 2 Student-Athlete of the Week: Douglas County’s Sire Hardaway

Sire Hardaway, a 6-foot, 160-pound senior quarterback at Douglas County, is the scoutSMART Student-Athlete of the week. Hardaway has a 3.75 GPA and has led the Tigers to a 2-0 record. He has completed 50 of 59 passing attempts (84.7%) for 644 yards and seven touchdowns. He has also rushed for 88 yards and a touchdown. “In my eight years at Douglas County, Sire not only is one of the best players I have ever coached, but he also has shown the best leadership qualities at Douglas County,” Tigers coach Johnny White said. “His calm demeanor and his positive attitude towards his teammates make him great at what he does.” Hardaway's offers include Morehouse, Alabama State, Miles College and Benedict College. He works with the Miracle Baseball League and helps students with special needs with their weekly games.
