Week 5 Offensive Line of the Week: Chattooga

GHSF Daily’s Offensive Line of the Week is Chattooga’s unit of Luke Reece, Fletcher Crowe, Malcolm Wiggins, Luke Busby and Dakhari Black with tight ends Brayden Howard, David Lowe, Stanton Peppers, Koi Dodd and Kadin Fife. They paved the way for 320 rushing yards in a 56-6 victory over Gordon Central and produced the state’s first 1,000-yard rusher this season. Zayden Cook’s 221-yard effort gave him a state-leading 1,060 yards in four games. “He rushed for more than 1,000 yards as a junior behind an inexperienced, young offensive line last year in the first year of a new scheme,” Chattooga coach Roone Gable told GHSF Daily last week. “As the line has gotten a year older, bigger and stronger in the weight room, it has allowed Zayden to show more of what he is capable of.” Chattooga’s line coaches are Dustin Powell, Danny Wilson and Paul Ellis. The award is sponsored by Alfa Insurance.

Head coach Roone Gable and the Chattooga offensive linemen were presented the GHSF Daily Offensive Line of the Week award at their school on Sept. 18, 2024.
