Week 4 Student-Athlete of the Week: New Hampstead’s Rashawn Truell

Rashawn Truell, a senior quarterback at New Hampstead, is the scoutSMART Student-Athlete of the Week. Truell has a 4.0 GPA and in his first four games has 712 passing yards and 10 touchdowns (eight passing, two rushing). He is involved with his church youth group and volunteers in his community. “Rashawn is an outstanding football player, gifted with great arm talent,” head coach Kyle Hockman said. “But even more impressive is his academic success. With a 4.0 GPA, he works extremely hard as a student. He has the respect of everyone in the building, as a student and a leader. He is what you want as a student-athlete.”
