Flag football Division 1: Southeast Bulloch 13, Columbus 6 (OT)

Recap: Southeast Bulloch tied the game with 1:13 remaining in the fourth quarter and won it in overtime on a 10-yard run by Emma Cate Barron to capture its fourth consecutive state championship in the small-school division Monday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. The Yellow Jackets (20-1) are 82-1 overall since starting the program in 2021, their only loss a 7-0 setback against Calvary Day on Nov. 20 that ended their 77-game winning streak. Columbus finished with a 223-125 advantage in total offense but scored its only points on an 8-yard touchdown pass from Serenity Hickman to Harmony Franklin with 7:31 to play in the fourth quarter. Southeast Bulloch answered on its next possession, tying the game on Paige Nelson's 1-yard run with just over a minute left. The Yellow Jackets scored on the first play of overtime and then stopped Columbus on downs. Barron passed for 69 yards and ran for 30. Hickman led Columbus with 151 yards passing and 23 rushing.
