Ga. Elite Classic to hold showcase Dec.17 for final invites

The 10th anniversary of the Georgia Elite Classic take place Dec. 27-29 in Rome, and the last 30 invitations to the Classic will be given out to players during a Saturday, Dec. 17, showcase at Fellowship Christian School in Roswell. The showcase is $40 and will be from 10 a.m.-noon. It will be run by Rusty Mansell of 247Sports, who picks all the players for the four games. Click here to sign up for the showcase. Go to GeorgiaEliteClassic.com for more information. The Classic is also excited to announce that Chad Simmons, the director of recruiting for On3, will be attending the Classic practices. Simmons and Mansell are two of the most followed recruiting experts in the county. Mansell can be followed on Twitter at @Mansell247 and Simmons at @ChadSimmons. All four games on Dec. 29 will be televised by Peachtree TV and shown live digitally on the Atlanta First News (formerly CBS46) app and the National Federation High School network. The Classic will be the final four games of 33 high school TV games this season produced by Score Atlanta and televised by Peachtree TV.
