Flag Football Player of the Week: Pace Academy’s Ansli Hennings

Ansli Hennings, a senior at Pace Academy, is GHSF Daily’s Flag Football Player of the Week. In four games last week, all victories, Hennings intercepted four passes, had four flag pulls, caught 12 passes for 180 yards and three touchdowns and scored five extra points. Pace beat Osborne 40-0, Marietta 36-0, Jackson 36-6 and KIPP Atlanta 48-0. Hennings is a three-year captain who has been part of Pace’s flag football program since its inception in 2020. “In her senior year, she is our leader on and off the field and has grown into an amazing athlete,” Pace coach Ty Johnson said. “We are very proud of what Ansli has meant to our program.”

GHSF Daily, in partnership with the Atlanta Falcons, will recognize a Flag Football Player of the Week each Monday through the December state finals. The Falcons will provide a “Falcons Care Package” of souvenirs and merchandise to each weekly winner at the end of the season.
