When doctors say 'There's nothing we can do'

Millions of children, teens and young adults sustain a concussion each year. For most of them, the symptoms dissipate over a few days or weeks.

But what happens when concussion symptoms don’t go away – even after weeks or months have passed?

Post-Concussion Syndrome (PCS) is the name given to long-term concussion symptoms that last for months or even years after the injury. These complications can have devastating effects on a young person. Attention disorders, memory issues, sleep disorders and mental health concerns like depression and anxiety are all common among young people with PCS.

We’d like to introduce you to Linden, a soccer player and honors student who had those same struggles. Doctors told Linden there was nothing they could do for her. That’s when her family found Aviv Clinics. After three months at Aviv, Linden is back in the classroom, back on the field and back to being herself.

Can Aviv Clinics help your student athlete get their life back from PCS? Complete our online form for a free physician consultation, or call 888-393-2848.
